The Polar Express

Last year we were all packed. Reservations had been made. Car was gassed up. We were as ready as ready can be to head to Durango to ride the Polar Express.

Unfortunately, there was a change of events. Terrible things happened the night before we were supposed to leave. We almost lost one of our dearest friends. We cried, felt helpless and prayed harder than we ever had.

And luckily, a miracle occurred.

This year, we tried it again, hoping that this weekend would bring happy memories to go along with the memories of the past.

It did not disappoint!

The train pulled up with it steam blowing wild, there was music in the air, the kids were jumping up and down with excitement, and it all brought tears to my eyes. The only word that could describe it is, "magical."

Watch for yourself.

Thanks! It sure helps (as I approach this all too busy, hectic season) to stop and see the magic through the eyes of children.

Oh, I'm so excited, we're taking the boys on the Polar Express for Easton's birthday in a few weeks. I was hesitant to spend the huge amount of money but I'm really excited now and hope they are too!

very cool, what a fun thing to do with the kids. I'm sure they enjoyed it even more this year than they even would have last year. And, look at that miracle that took place this past year. What a great start to the holiday season!
